The Reflex uses a mixture of plastic and rubber on the exterior. I really like the way the Reflex feels within the hand and in use, its curves and rubber/ plastics make it feel very comfortable and thin.

To get your iPod touch into the Reflex you'll need to snap the case into two parts and slide the iPod into one of those parts and then slide the second part remaining back onto your iPod. A fabric material covers some of the interior protecting your iPod from scratches. The two part design works really well. With a lot of two parts design cases the connection in the middle wears away rather quickly which can make it fall apart in your pocket and leave a gap within the two parts leaving your device sloppy inside. So I'm happy to tell you the Reflex doesn't suffer from any of these symptoms.

The functionality of buttons and ports is all done well. The sleep/ wake button and volume rockers are covered by the case's artificial buttons which are all in rubber, they feel nice to use and are just as responsive as the real things. The camera, audio jack, the speaker and 30 pin dock connector are all cut out within the case. The dock connector has enough space for the charging cable but some accessories won't fit through, but it's so easy to unattach the bottom piece of the case, this shouldn't be a concern.

Protection is flawless. With the bulk of the Defender Series from OtterBox would have added to your iPod touch in comparison to this is just insane. The Reflex will out against big drops onto concrete etc and little drops. Knocks and bumps when in your pocket or in a bag are no challenge for this case either. The Defender and Commuter Series are definitely not the cases I'd recommend to most of you who want a protective case for your iPod touch anymore. I'd now recommend the Reflex Series due to its thinness. The reason for this crazy protection on such a thin and light case is all down to its design being like a crumple zone on a car. It's surrounded in cushions of air which take the hits against itself lightly.

vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-89086711178612750092012-03-21T03:59:00.000-07:002012-06-05T03:59:46.941-07:00CaseCrown Omni Cover Case for iPad 2 Review
Many have pointed out that the Apple Smart Cover is an awesome case/cover but doesn't protect the back of your iPad 2. The CaseCrown Omni Case appears to try and solve this problem with a Smart Cover like design as well as full rear protection.

The exterior body is all black and doesn't yet come in any other colors which is a shame considering the amount the Smart Cover comes in. But never the less the black is quite nice looking and sets it off well. The back of the case is made of polycarbonate and feels very rubbery, I suppose it's a soft touch material and lends itself well on tables and in your hands. The front is more smooth and looks and acts like the Smart Cover. All in all the Omni Case keeps that thinness of your iPad 2 and covers everything at the same time.

Applying the CaseCrown Omni Case is pretty easy you simply clip your iPad into the polycarbonate back. It's held very securely within and your iPad wont get damaged due to the easiness of removing any dirt and obstacles. You have full use of the bezel and that is always a good thing on any iPad case because having a free bezel makes the iPad so much more enjoyable and easier to use.

The Smart Cover inspiration comes into full effect with standing positions. You fold the front grooved four sections into a triangle and stand your iPad in either a typing position or in an upright position for watching movies etc. The magnets are no where near as strong compared to what's in the Smart Cover but it works well keeping your iPad solidly in positions. The sleep and wake feature for when you open and close your Omni Cases front also works well and stays in place, and if you move around with your iPad 2 in the case it won't randomly sleep and wake which many cases presenting this extra do.

Functionality comes in a quite sharp love hate relationship. The volume rockers, mute switch, sleep and wake button, rear camera and speaker cut outs are all done well and work well too. But the 30 pin dock connector along with the audio jack are a little annoying to say the least. The 30 pin dock connector cutout will basically only allow for the 30 pin Apple charge and sync cable to be inserted, any accessories won't fit meaning you have to remove the case to use them. The exact same has to be said for the audio jack, Apple ear buds will work but many other headphones won't fit into the cutout.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-1233445025152746442012-02-15T03:58:00.000-08:002012-06-05T03:59:12.865-07:00OtterBox Reflex Series for iPad 2 Review
We loved the OtterBox Reflex Series on the iPhone and iPod touch but the one device we really wanted it to come to was the iPad. And it has.

Despite that one thing we all really liked about the Reflex Series is the colors it comes in. This only comes in black at the moment and is a real shame, we only hope that more color options are added in the future. Having said that the case looks great in black. The case is made out of a polycarbonate shell will rubber corners. The Reflex for the iPad 2 is so thin and feels very comfortable when in use.

To get your iPad 2 into the case you simply slide it into either half of the case and then slip the other half on and your done. It isn't too tight but fits on very securely, plus it's lined in a very soft fabric preventing scratches and damage to your iPad. The bezel isn't covered by the case and that's very a good thing when using certain Apps but it just makes your iPad more enjoyable to use too.

Your iPads buttons are all covered by artificial ones built into the case sitting on top of the real things. They all feel nice to press, responsive and they don't stick which is prone to happen in cases which cover buttons for protection. Cut outs are included for the audio jack, mute switch, microphone and 30 pin dock connector. The 30 pin dock connector cut out isn't big enough for many accessories to go into but as the case is so easy to slide apart, whenever you need to use a bigger accessory you can simply slide the bottom half off the iPad. One of my major concerns when first using the case on my iPad was that the speaker was entirely covered by the rear of the case. But OtterBox have thought of this and have built into the case what they call 'Audio Reuters', these basically direct the sound towards you and that makes it sound slightly louder and have a tad more bass as well.

A touch screen shield which attaches itself to the front of your iPad and hooks onto the Reflex via four silicone corners is designed to prop your iPad up into multiple angles. The mechanism on this is most definitely the smartest OtterBox have got to with their stands, we were very impressed with the upgrade from the Defender for the iPad 1 to the iPad 2 but this blows them out of the water. To get the screen shield to extrude itself so you can use it in two different angles you simply push down on the middle section and then it will hook itself upright. The two angles give a choice from a typing position and an angle which is perfect for watching movies or viewing photos.

The protection is the best going for the cases dimensions compared against it's competitors. The slimness and lightness is something I really enjoy but the solid protection amongst all that is just awesome! Crumple zones like you get on cars are located on all corners of the case, most people drop iPhones and iPads onto surfaces the devices nearly always have the corners touch ground. The Crumple Zone will apply impact to itself leaving the iPad safe. Big drops to small this will easily protect your iPad. Plus the front is covered by the touch screen shield which also doubles as a stand meaning your iPad is protected front and back and it also means you don't have to worry about your device.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-42294124739186975802012-01-02T03:58:00.000-08:002012-06-05T03:58:39.784-07:00Smartphone Applications and Accessories
Every other person today wishes to own a Smartphone solely because of its amazing features and services. With blue, purple, red, black and grey being offered and all colours look very sharp.

A soft leather like material is used on the exterior of the case and this feels great in the hands. The case doesn't do the thin profile of the iPad 2 any harm either.

The iPad sits in a hard plastic shell that doesn't cover the bezel at all so Apps and overall use of your iPad aren't restricted in any way. The shell clips itself snuggly around the iPad and it's easily removed also. Left to the plastic shell is a felt lining which also cleans the screen and prevents it from getting scratched when the case is closed.

In terms of functionality all ports, buttons and the camera are cut out. The buttons are very very easy to access and use due to the cut outs being very wide. The camera is also cut out along with the speaker, so the sound isn't affected in any way.

To achieve different angles to view and use your iPad within the case you will need to bring the front folio part of the case to the rear of the case. This part isn't attached half of the plastic shell making it possible to tuck the loose plastic section into four different ridges on the opposing side. This upright position is perfect for watching movies and TV Shows and your iPad stays very stable in these positions when used. An another position for typing is offered and works just as well.

One inclusion which is a must on any folio case for the iPad 2 is the magnetic sleep and wake feature for when you open and close the case. And the Speck FitFolio doesn't have it, instead a piece of bungee cord ties itself around an extruding piece of plastic which keeps it shut and secure but why not add the magnetic sleep and wake feature as well?

Protection is pretty good for a thin and light folio case. The front is well padded giving some absorbance to bumps and drops. The materials used are all high quality and cover the whole of your iPad, making it a perfect sort of case to drop into a bag etc.

Overall the Speck FitFolio for the iPad 2 has a nice array of colour choices, a thin and lightweight design, feels comfortable and pleasant to use, great functionality, has nice viewing angle options and some pretty decent protection. But the lack of the magnetic sleep and wake feature is a real let down.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-38278119282580389762011-11-02T03:56:00.000-07:002012-06-05T03:57:28.517-07:00Lusso Cartella Luxury Business - Slim Office Case for New iPad (3/3rd Generation) and iPad 2 Review
This is undoubtedly the most expensive iPad case we have ever reviewed and after a good two weeks of it being my only iPad case, I think I'm ready to give my verdict on it.

It's called the Lusso Cartella Luxury iPad case and Lusso Cartella means luxury cases in Italian. Fitting the iPad 2 and the just released New iPad. The first thing I saw of this product like every other was the box and this comes in one which is well worth writing about. It reminded me of the box Harry Potter was presented with when he received his first wand. Once you have lifted the lid off the box you'll find the case inside a cloth bag, everything's presented in a plush, luxurious manner.

The case itself is handmade and that translates into the best build quality and materials used on a case that I have ever seen. Stitching is ridiculously precise and every element is precisely square and perfect. You just know a great deal of time has been used to make these. Real leather the sole material used and is found on the exterior and on the interior and you can choose from a variety of textures and colours. With over two weeks of regular daily usage no sign of wear or tear has arisen.

Extra storage is found on the exterior of the case with a zipped pocket compartment. This can be used to keep pens, pencils, iPhones, iPods, business cards. Surprisingly this compartment doesn't add very much bulk to the case but an impressive amount can be stored within. More storage can be found inside the case of the left for paper documents etc. I found myself using that more than the front compartment but I can see both being hugely convenient to many.

To get an iPad into the case you will need to tuck it into the right hand side of the case. Now this fitting incorporates the New iPad and iPad 2 without a struggle and is securely held inside plus the bezel hasn't been restricted at all.

In terms of functionality the audio jack, sleep/ wake button, volume rockers and 30 pin dock connector can all be controlled straightforwardly when in the case. But the mute switch is covered and that isn't really a huge annoyance compared to the rear camera not being cut out. This is a real hurdle especially for all the New iPad owners who are enjoying the brilliant inbuilt camera like myself. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed in the near future. I can see it being hard to incorporate in the handmade process which all of these go through.

The folio design works well and just using the iPad in the case feels comfortable, with the high quality leather resting up against my hands. It looks very sleek and beauteous and is definitely a case to be proud of having attached to your iPad.

Protection offered from the Lusso Cartella Luxury Business- Slim Office Case is of course going to be outstanding. With the combination of a sturdy well built design and high quality leather this will handle drops of a biggish proportion. The case is well matched carried inside a bag of sorts but most vitally you can keep this on your desk and throw it around like we all do without the need to worry much.

Overall this is a handsomely crafted case for the iPad and should be admired by all iPad owners even if it's out of the budget. The build quality and presentation is the best we have ever seen on a case and has seriously raised the bar for what can be done in our estimations.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-10256085687332966062011-09-12T03:56:00.000-07:002012-06-05T03:56:50.731-07:00Pong Research Anti Radiation Case for iPhone 4 and 4S Review
The Pong Soft Touch iPhone 4 & 4S Case is made out of soft to touch Lexan. Lexan is the same material NASA has used to make helmets and if you laminate sheets of Lexan together it can with stain a bullet. So the material is pretty strong. It feels comfortable in the hand which is also partly down to the nicely designed case.

I whole skew of vibrant colours are available with black, red, green, blue, purple, and pink being offered. I have the green which definitely stands out. Getting the iPhone into the case is quite simple, you have to snap it into place which when done the first time makes the case creak & crack a bit, which I was a little worried about but it doesn't seem to of mattered after a few weeks of use. The iPhone is kept very tightly within the case which is good but if you have any dirt trapped between the rear of your iPhone and the case, your iPhone could get scratched due to the hard coating of the cases interior.

The case doesn't cover the iPhones bezel in any way and therefor doesn't hinder the experience when using your iPhone. The rear camera and volume rockers are cut out neatly and allow for ease of access. The top and bottom of the case doesn't exist, so the headphone jack, sleep & wake button, 30 pin dock connector and speakers are all exposed. If your concerned about the screen, a screen protector is included within the box along with a cleaning cloth, I haven't used it yet but it's always nice to have included within a case purchase.

The protection offered is very impressive when you take in the lightness and thinness of the case. Because Pong have made this out of Lexan it's ridiculously durable. The perfect sort of case to have if you keep your iPhone in your pocket or in a bag. If you were to drop your iPhone onto it's rear, it should with stain quite a beating but you have to take into account the open bottom and top of the case.

The Pong Soft Touch claims to improve signal strength but we couldn't see the benefit as much so compared with the Pong case for iPad. However the signal strength had improved with both Wi-Fi and 3G by a about a bar (or two on 3G) in both instances. The reason for any increase is caused by the case not triggering the proximity sensor which allows the iPhone to detect nearby objects without contact. The case is also meant to decrease the amount of radiation given from the phone to your body, something I cannot prove but a lot of evidence shows it works.

Overall the Pong Research Soft Touch Case for iPhone 4 & 4S is a good case. It has a neat design and good protection. But the main focus of this case is it's ability to improve signal strength and it does, I have never seen anything else like it on the market so if your in desperate need of a better signal this is what to get. But if you just need an overall case perhaps this is a little to specialist.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-31873291278665930122011-08-05T03:55:00.000-07:002012-06-05T03:56:15.080-07:00What Are Some Of The Most Popular Cell Phone Accessories?
There are more cell phones being used today than ever before, and the number is increasing everyday. Cell phone accessories are a terrific way to upgrade and enhance your phone, customizing it to your specific taste. Because the demand for these accessories is increasing, the cell phone accessories market is growing rapidly. Today there are many different types of mobile phone accessories that are both affordable and useful. Because there are so many cell phone accessories available (and new products coming out all the time), it can be difficult even knowing what is available! To help in your mobile phone accessory search, the following is summary of some of the most popular cell phone accessories.

The Bluetooth headset is one of the most popular mobile accessories. The Bluetooth headset is a very important and functional accessory because it gives you the ability to talk on the mobile phone without having to hold it. Usually these consist of ear pieces with build in microphones that connect via Bluetooth (digitally) to your phone. While they free up your hands for convenience and comfort, it is also a health benefit because there is research showing that keeping the mobile phone next to your head during the initial several seconds of a call can raise cranial temperature. Furthermore most countries have passed laws in recent years that ban people from holding a phone while driving. With a Bluetooth headset, you can keep the conversation going while you sit in traffic.

Another popular phone accessory is the car GSM set. When using the car GSM system, you can listen and speak through your car's stereo giving you another way to drive and talk at the same time. Cell phone users are also buying external memory cards. The external memory card lets you place all of your office files and media files in the memory card to be viewed on your phone (not every phone has the ability). Other accessories in consumer demand are charger adapters and high capacity batteries. The charger adapter is needed when your type of charger doesn't fit properly into a specific socket or when traveling to countries that use different wall sockets. High capacity batteries are used to boost stand up time for a cell phone, or simply can replace your old battery that doesn't last nearly as long as it once did.

Screen protectors are another popular phone accessory choice. Before screen protectors, mobile phones used to receive many scratches on their screens when they were not used with care. However, now screen protectors do more than just protect the screen from scratches. You can get screen protectors with anti-fingerprint, anti-glare and even privacy features, which prevent others from viewing what you're doing on the phone. Furthermore, the USB connector cable is a very popular choice, particularly for phones that use the same cable for charging and syncing the device.

In recent years, the mobile phone business has grown significantly and at an incredible rate. There is an extensive variety of mobile phone accessories available today giving consumers options such as keyboards, chargers, Bluetooth GPS receivers, cell phone covers and high capacity batteries to name a few. Cell phone accessories allow cell phone users to upgrade their phones with increased functionality and appearance. As well, these accessories also make using the cell phone easier and more convenient. On the whole, mobile phone accessories are a great way to upgrade your mobile phone while customizing it for your specific taste.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478544061681428258.post-34447589461210431002011-07-15T03:53:00.000-07:002012-06-05T03:55:33.672-07:00How Different Are Cell Phone Covers From Model To Model?
Cell phone covers and cases are purchased by users who seek to add aesthetic appeal; improve function and performance all while protecting their phone from potential damage. Whether cosmetic improvement or protection is the driving factor for purchasing a case or cover, the number of available options will ensure you find something that suits your needs. It's just a matter of doing your research to find the best product for your make and model. Cell phone covers provide a number of functions that include: protecting the phone from scratches; making the phone more appealing and perhaps most importantly, making the phone more durable.

As previously mentioned, there is a plethora of different cases on the market today that vary in form and function. A type of cover called a body glove protects and adds durability to the phone. Body gloves are normally made of neoprene that fits tightly around the casing of the phone. They can come with an attachment used for clipping the phone to a purse strap or belt. It is a practical choice for someone who needs extra cell phone protection and wants to minimize shock if the phone is dropped. While these cases are great for functional elements, you may be limited in cosmetic choices due to the material they are made of.

As mentioned, there are no covers that will fit with every phone and there are no universal covers. Various models require specific cases as each model will vary in dimension, and the same model will vary from year to year. Shields and skins are two other types of cases that will only fit the specific model they were designed for. Their differences are in how they are secured to the phone and the type of materials they are made of. For instance, a skin is made of soft silicone that stretches and pulls to fit securely over the entire phone. A shield is made of a hard material and has a back piece and a front piece that snaps around the phone. Both styles are available in many different patterns and colors, offering both form and function.

Skins cover the entire phone and can easily be slipped on and off. Many of these sleeves offer protecting from impact as they consist of a silicone sleeve that is a molded fit design that also keeps out dust and dirt. There are models that have rigid protective shields or snap-on covers. They are made from two pieces of hard material and snap around the phone to provide complete protection. Faceplates are another type of cell phone cover that fit the front of your device. Faceplates usually are made of hard plastic and are considered a more permanent accessory, simply because they require installation.

Pouches are cell phone covers in which the cell phone slides into a pouch. Cell phone pouches are functional, attractive, and are available in various colors, shapes, and designs. These are great for those who want to have their phone by their side but don't want to alter the phone itself. Whatever the reason is for you wanting a case, there are more options than ever before. Many online sites offer great deals and unique products, and since the cases are made for specific models, there is no need to worry and wonder if your purchase will fit.vaizal.blog12http://www.blogger.com/profile/14123719434524645866noreply@blogger.com0
